Final Location
Final Location - The Woods Surrounding River Shuttle
We collectively decided to use this location for filming due to it's scenic nature and large wide open space. The area is also surrounded with tall, leaning trees and a river running through the woods. These elements make this setting very fitting for a supernatural film opening and the area itself has a very mysterious and eerie feel which we didn't feel at the other locations.
Whilst at this location, we were scouting for an area that our victim could take pictures of. We were also looking for a large tree to hang photos from with clear string to give the illusion that the photos were floating. In this area, there are various different shaped trees that would fit the criteria and there are also a few isolated trees with wide open spaces surrounding them further emphasising their isolation.
Furthermore, since we are filming our opening early morning as the sun rises the trees all cast shadows on the forest ground. This would be interesting to incorporate into our film opening and add to the supernatural element. Finally, this is the only location that has a river running throughout it which serves as an opportunity to film some running water shots to establish the area.
