Final Plotline
After many changes to our plot line and extreme development of our ideas, we finally finalised a plot line and narrative, allowing us to then finalise our character presentations and begin to shape ideas surrounding lighting, music, framing etc.
Plot-line: A teenage girl goes to an isolated wood to take photographs. She carries a professional camera and is dressed in plain, gender neutral clothing. She walks through the woods, and takes a few photos of the trees and plants. After a while, she happens upon a rough trail in the leaves, where someone has cleared the forest floor to form a path. Deciding to follow the path, the girl films herself walking along it- pausing as she notices a small polaroid marking the end of the path. Picking it up, the girl takes a closer look- but is shocked and drops the photo as she realises it is of her, sleeping. Once the photo hits the floor, an unseen force causes it to rip, scratching out the girl's face. The girl is shocked and frightened. Looking around her, the girl notices that several other polaroids have been tied to a large tree. looking closer, she sees that they are all of her, from various points in time- showing her walking her dog, going for a run, even undressing. Turning, the girl notices that one polaroid has been singled out, tied securely to the trunk of the tree. Looking closer, she realises that the photo is again of her, but she is covered in blood and injuries- she is dead. Ready to flee, the girl jumps as she hears a camera click. turning slowly, she frowns. No one is there. Slowly, she raises her camera and looks through the lens. Suddenly, the lighting changes dramatically- and the forest is plunged into darkness. Emerging from the darkness, the antagonist emerges- moving in unnatural ways, distorting her body. She has a mutilated face- covered in open, bloody wounds. After a brief montage establishing the antagonist's unnatural physique, she lunges at the girl. The screen goes black, a scream is heard- followed by the sound of a body hitting the ground and being dragged through leaves. A camera flash is heard charging, before the screen flashes into white- the title 'Capture' appearing on screen, reminiscent of a Polaroid photograph picture appearing.
